It's Autism Awareness Month this April and many vendors have special time sensitive offers across April. We understand that many of these discounts of up to 50% off the regular purchase price of AAC Apps during Autism Awareness month.
With the introduction of Replacement Support Approval requirements for the supply of Communication Apps and the manual payment enquiry claim processes that now apply to these purchases we're unable to provide discounted pricing on your Communication App even if it is on sale in the App Store.
Where payment is received and your order is provisioned whilst an app is on sale, the value of the discount will be added to your Apple App Store Account as a credit.
This balance can then be used for future license renewals and other Augmented Communication App purchases.
There are alternative options available for accessing discounts if you are Self-Managed or Plan-Managed.
If your NDIS budget for the communication app is Self Managed
Contact the NDIS to confirm you have Replacement Supports Approval for your purchase, and then consider purchasing directly from the Apple App Store and seeking reimbursement for the purchase via the MyNDIS App.
If your NDIS Budget for the communication app is Plan Managed
Enquire with your plan manager about whether you can purchase directly from the App Store and then submit the Apple App Store receipt to you plan manager for reimbursement.
