Replacement Support Example

Jen is an NDIS Participant and lives alone. She regularly experiences falls due to her disability. Her NDIS plan provides a in home supports as part of her Supported Independent Living. Joan applies for a NDIS to approve a smart watch with fall detection to alert a family member that does not live with her in case she needs assistance as a replacement support. This will increase her whole task independence and reduce the need for a support worker.
