NDIS Eligibility: Requires NDIS Approval
This product requires approval from the NDIS via the Replacement Supports Approval or inclusion of the item as a stated support in your NDIS plan.
Private Purchase
At Assistive Tech we prioritise orders for NDIS Participants but also welcome orders from private customers.
NDIS guidance as of 24 June 2022 indicates that 3G, 4G and 5G mobile capability are excluded from being able to be claimed. This means that participants may still purchase this product, but will need to pay for the cellular component. The cellular upgrade for this product is $250, which means this cost will need to be paid from their own money. This participant contribution can be paid on the same invoice.
In addition, NDIS does not fund SIM cards/mobile data plans. When considering this product, you will need to take into consideration the costs for a mobile data plan (NDIS considers this as an every day living cost - utilities).
Support
At Assistive Tech your product comes with a manufacturers warranty in addition to your rights under the Australian Consumer Law.
If your iPad has screen damage, Apple can service it for a fee. Accidental damage is not covered by warranty. In some scenarios, the cost to repair a screen may be similar to the cost of a new iPad. Please check with us to discuss your options.
